Design

“Life is Short, Art is Long….
Typography is Everything”

Design is something that surrounds all of us. It influences us in subtle ways or in loud ways. What product to buy, what store to go to, where to spend our money, what looks safe, what looks reputable, all of these decisions are wrapped up in design. Design can make our lives easier, our days brighter, our decisions clearer.

Design is important, but it is also very often overlooked.
Lets pay attention to good design and all their details.

saraSara is currently employed at Scout Branding Company. Sara is Scout’s girl when it comes to all things interactive and web. Sara is deeply committed to excellence in using the latest web technology, user experience, client experience, and design. Her latest obsession is crafting a site for Search Engine Optimization (SEO), mobile devices, and social media as well.  She loves to push the boundaries on web typography and see good ideas come to life. She is also an avid Wordpress guru and loves making sites run on the free Wordpress platform, while still making them look like a million bucks. Her web expertise includes: Flash, xml, html, php, and MySQL.

Sara also loves working on different print and logo projects with the rest of the Scout team. Then taking a newly Scout-developed brand to the Internet brings her great joy as it ties in the whole concept into an online presence. She recently completed a rebranding project that included printing with PMS 7424U, which made her so happy because it is a lovely bright magenta.

Sara came to Scout in October of 2007. Originally from outside of Boston, Massachusetts, she came to the south and graduated with a BS from Samford University in Graphic Design. She is a member of the Internet Society of Alabama (IPSA), Catalyst for Birmingham, and is a founding member of the Birmingham Art Collective. In her spare time, (if she has any), Sara loves to make art and put on shows with other community artists.

Sara has recently spoke at the Spetember IPSA Meeting on “Interactive Branding and Typography Tips” and as well at Wordcamp Brimingham on “Wordpres and Your Brand”
